SEL (Social & Emotional Learning)
The Franklin Public Schools is an inclusive and respectful learning community committed to developing individuals who are kind, healthy, empathetic, and resilient.”
FPS Social Emotional Learning Vision
September 2018
The Franklin Public Schools remains dedicated to the implementation of social and emotional learning practices and programs across the district. As part of our strategic plan, we established a District SEL Leadership Team to serve as a resource to support the district-wide implementation as referenced in the District Strategic Plan and each school improvement plan. The Social Emotional Learning Team includes representation from staff members and administrators from across our district. We are focused on promoting the well-being of staff, in order to enable each student to acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills associated with the five core competencies for social-emotional learning.
