FPS seeks to attract and retain those applicants with a strong commitment to student success and a collaborative, self-reflective spirit. The first step in the application process is a review of the required submitted materials and credentials. Professional staff must provide a letter of interest, resume, college transcripts, 3 letters of reference and proof of Massachusetts licensure. Those candidates invited for an interview can generally expect to meet with a team comprised of the building administrators, other building educators and/or specialists. As we take the opportunity to get to know prospective new team members we feel it is just as important for them to meet potential co-workers. We invite all finalists selected to return and demonstrate a brief model lesson in front of children. (yes even during the summer months!). After verbal reference checking is completed, the selected candidate would then be required to have a final interview with the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or Director of Student Services at our Central Office Location. Once endorsed, a contingent job offer would be tendered subject to the successful passing of a CORI/SORI background check.
